Residential property an 'attractive medium-term investment'

Investors looking to make a healthy return on their money should
consider ploughing some of their funds into residential property,
an expert has claimed.
Richard Bowser, editor at Property Investor News, commented that
the market has reached its lowest point and is beginning to climb,
making it the perfect time to invest.
"My view is that those people who have cash to invest should be
looking at putting a proportion of that cash into UK residential
property, but only if you are taking a five to seven-year view," he
said.
Research released at the end of November by Barclays Wealth and the
Economist Intelligence Unit revealed that 76 per cent of investors
surveyed believe that there are opportunities in residential
property.
The survey also found that 35 per cent of wealthy respondents
intend to increase their property portfolios over the next two
years, compared with 17 per cent who said they would decrease
it.
