Santander launches mortgage for 'peace of mind'

Homebuyers looking to secure finance for a house for sale in the UK
have been given peace of mind with the introduction of a new
mortgage offer from Santander.
Last Friday (September 24th 2010), the financial services provider
released its new four-year fixed-rate product at 4.75 per cent,
which comes with a booking fee of £495.
It is available on products with 75 per cent loan-to-value and can
only be taken out by existing mortgage customers.
Director of mortgages at the organisation Phil Cliff said the new
mortgage is being offered to give borrowers "peace of mind" from
the fixed-rate loan.
"As the 'home of UK mortgages', we want to ensure we can reward our
loyal customers and this product certainly does fit a gap in the
market," he added.
This comes one month after Santander announced reductions on its
mortgage products, dropping its two, four and five-year fixed-rate
loans by up to 0.24 per cent.
